The Lost Studio presents the American Premiere of MAMMALS, written by Amelia Bullmore and directed by John Pleshette. MAMMALS will preview on Thursday, January 15 and will open on Friday, January 16 at 8:00p.m. at the Lost Studio Theatre, 130 S. La Brea Ave. (between 1st and 2nd) in Hollywood. MAMMALS is scheduled to run for eight weeks through Sunday, March 8. 2009.

Jane and Kev don't have secrets, there's no room for them. Their children take up all the space. Dirty laundry and weekend guests just have to be squeezed in. But when Kev comes home from a business trip with something on his mind, he starts a confessional chain reaction which has shattering consequences.

Mammals is a bitterly comic glimpse of the breeding generations. For anyone who's in, has ever been in, or will ever be in a family.

AMELIA BULLMORE (Playwright) studied drama at Manchester University. She has written for TV, radio, film and stage. TV writing includes "This Life," "Attachments" and "Black Cab."

Mammals was her first play and co-won the Susan Smith Blackburn award in 2006. She wrote a version of Ibsen's Ghosts in 2007 which had a sell-out run at The Gate Theatre in London and will be produced at the Glasgow Citizens Theatre this Spring. She is currently working on commissions for BBC TV, BBC Radio 4 and a new stage play. Amelia is also an actress and a familiar face on British TV comedy, including "Big Train," "Jam and Alan Partridge" (in which she played Sonja). Most recently she appeared at the Old Vic Theatre, London, in Alan Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests. She can also be seen in the films "Mrs Dalloway" and "Festival." She is married to the actor Paul Higgins. They live in London with their two children.

John Pleshette (Director) returns to the Lost Studio after his critically-acclaimed productions of Moonlight and No Man's Land. In 2002, he staged Pinter's The Caretaker and won the L.A. Weekly Award for Best Revival. At the Lex, his productions of Jules Feiffer's Little Murders and the L.A premiere of The Arrangement were singled out as Critics Choice' by the L.A. Times. He directed John Ford Noonan's A Critic and his Wife at the Matrix and his one-act Orientation Week at the Back Alley and the Santa Monica Playhouse.

MAMMALS will be produced by Lynn Pleshette. The Set Design is by Tiffany Williams. The Lighting Design is by Jacob S. Mitchell.

The Cast of MAMMALS includes Mina Badie, Abigail Revasch, Phoebe James, James Donovan, David Corbett, Adrian Neil, Bess Meyer and Stephanie Ittleson
