A workshop production of Paradise Bar and Grill by Lindsey Ferrentino will be presented on January 21st at 8pm at The Blank Theater in LA, featuring Darren Pettie (Mad Men) and Jedadiah Schultz (created role in The Laramie Project).
Paradise Bar and Grill is a failing bar at The Edge of Seminole Swamp, deep in the Florida everglades. As a hurricane bears down and a sinkhole threatens to engulf the bar, three friends struggle to make it through in a world gone mad.
The play was developed at Atlantic Theater Company (directed by Stephen Brackett starring ZOSIA MAMET and Jason Butler Harner) and opened Rattlestick's Great Play Festival (directed by Jaime Castaneda starring Pablo Schreiber, Erik Jensen, and Ato Esendoah). ZOSIA MAMET and Pablo Schreiber are attached to the play.

Lindsey Ferrentino is a New York City based playwright whose work has been performed at The Kennedy Center Theater Lab in DC, Atlantic Theater Company, Rattlestick Playwright's Theater, The Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, 3LD Art and Technology Center, Manhattan Repertory Theater and The Marilyn Monroe Theater in New York, among other theaters in New York and Florida. She has received commissions from The Lee Strasberg Theater Institute and is a recipient of the Edward Albee Playwriting Fellowship and Residency as well as The Blue Ridge Summer Theater Festival's Playwriting Fellowship and Residency. She is the winner of New York Magazine's Theresa Rebeck's Seminar Short Story Contest, The Cappies International Playwriting Contest, Winterfest Playwriting Competition, The Florida Today Playwright Festival, and was a finalist for the 2008 NY Writer's Summit and 2012 Princess Grace Awards. Her work has been published in New York Magazine. Ferrentino has studied with the Writer's Guild of Great Britain and the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, where she is a current faculty member. She has a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA from Tina Howe/Mark Bly's Rita and Burton Goldberg Hunter College program.
