Lillias White, John Tartaglia, and More Unite for BROADWAY TO THE RESCUE Benefit

On Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 7PM at The Montalban Theatre in the heart of Hollywood, one of the largest casts of Broadway stars ever assembled in Los Angeles will unite for a one night only event -Broadway to the Rescue: A Benefit for the Homeless. This one of a kind cast, with nearly 100 Broadway credits combined, will recreate and revive some of Broadway's greatest hits, many by the headliners that made them famous.

Showstoppers from Hairspray, Rent, Les Miserables, Avenue Q,Little Shop of Horrors, Waitress, Cats, The Life, Avenue Q, Memphis, Miss Saigon and more. The evening will feature Tony Winners, Tony Nominees, stars from Broadway shows, and special appearances talent from TV, Film and the music industry.

All proceeds benefit Hope of the Valley, (www.hopeofthevalley.org) a multi-facility rescue mission for the homeless in Los Angeles.

The stars will shine as an incredible list of performers ignite the historic Montalban stage. Tony Winner LiLlias White (The Life, Dreamgirls), Tony Nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Shrek the Musical), Tony Nominee Sharon McNight (Starmites), Barrett Foa (NCIS: LA, Avenue Q), Drama Desk Award Winner Aaron Lazar (Les Miserables, The Light in the Piazza), Paul Vogt (Hairspray, Chicago), J. Elaine Marcos (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Annie), Rhett George (Memphis, Aida), Krystal Joy Brown (Motown, Leap of Faith), Brooke Engen (Gypsy, Hairspray), Shannon Durig (Hairspray), Clent Bowers (Cats, Big), Jessica Snow Wilson (Les Miserables, Little Shop of Horrors), Lynette DuPree (Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, Truly Blessed) and more. The evening will also include special appearances by Grammy Nominee Lisa Loeb, The Office's Kate Flannery and Scot Robinson from The Lampshades.

Broadway veteran, J. Elaine Marcos, said, "This event is not just thrilling for the audience but for us too." Rhett George added, "It's like the roof is blown off the place, again and again and again!" Krystal Joy Brown sums up the event, "To sing one of my songs from a Broadway show, join with the entertainment community in LA to raise money for those in need, what's not to love?"

Not only are the shows simply incredible; the cast continues to serve meals at our mission year round," explained Ken Craft, Hope of the Valley's Executive Director. Wooley is flanked by an impressive executive team that includes: Producers Kymberli McKanna and Liz Shaffer, and Production Manager, Julianna Brudek.

Tickets range from $20 for general admission to $75 for the VIP package, which includes premium seating, exclusive photo ops, entrance to the private cast party, red carpet, champagne and a dessert reception. The evening begins with a silent auction filled with exclusive, autographed items that will be a must-have for Broadway collectors and enthusiasts.

HOTV partners with Village Family Services who works with our LGBT Transitional Age Youth that come to the shelter or HELP Center seeking services. And helped host the KAISER Permanente LGBTQ training for service providers.
