2009 Olivier Award Winner Lesli Margherita (ZORRO - West End) returns to the Los Angeles stage with her brand new solo show ALL HAIL THE QUEEN (TOTALLY MORE THAN A CABARET). This special one night only event will be presented on Tuesday, October 13th at 8:00 p.m. at Element 1642 N. Las Palmas Ave, Hollywood, California.

Ms. Margherita received the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for her portrayal of ‘Inez' in ZORRO, which played at the Garrick Theater in London's West End. A California native, Lesli began her LA career at UCLA. Immediately after she was chosen to star in MGM's television series "Fame LA" directed by Kenny Ortega, which is still shown all over the world. She has gone on to star and recur on many TV shows and pilots, including "The Suite Life On Deck", "Charmed", "NYPD Blue", "The District", "The King of Queens", "JAG" and "On The Lot", produced by Steven Spielberg. Recent films include The Number 23 directed by Joel Schumacher and Boogeyman 2 produced by Sam Raimi. Lesli can also be heard on several animated films, most recently Disney's Cinderella 3. Performing since childhood, her National tour and Regional Theater credits include starring roles in DAMN YANKEES directed by Jason Alexander, ZORBA, KISS ME KATE, BEEHIVE, ANYTHING GOES, AIDA, REEFER MADNESS, THE GRAVE WHITE WAY, WEST SIDE STORY, MAN OF LA MANCHA, GREASE, A CHORUS LINE, and GYPSY.
Musical direction and arrangements are by Brett Ryback (RATED RSO - Joe's Pub /NYMF), whose plays and musicals include WEIRD (Winner, 2007 Tennessee Williams One-Act Competition), A ROZ BY ANY OTHER NAME (Winner, Henrico County One-Act Competition), QUIT INDIA (Finalist, 2007 Richard Rodgers Award), the book for DARLING (PACE New Musicals), and the music for the movie-musical Shoulder Pads. He is currently completing the score to LIBERTY INN, a new musical written with Dakin Matthews, and the script to an untitled commission from UCLA about Abraham Lincoln, which will play this November. ALL HAIL THE QUEEN (TOTALLY MORE THAN A CABARET) marks his second collaboration with Lesli Margherita.

The evening also features Brian Beacock, Thomas Garcia, and Matt Merchant.

The show is being produced by Lauren Bass, who has been producing theater for almost a decade, both as an independent producer and as Producing Director for the Ovation-Award winning Echo Theater Company. Echo credits include: the West Coast/World Premieres of BODY POLITIC by Jessica Goldberg (Ovation Noms Best Play, Best Ensemble); ANON by Kate Robin; THURSDAY by Adam Bock; MELANCHOLY PLAY by Sarah Ruhl; and the Ovation Award winning WAR MUSIC by Bryan Davidson at LATC and later at The Geffen Playhouse. Other credits include the solo shows A SERIES OF COMEDIC LECTURES by John Lehr (Zipper Theater, NY; Powerhouse Theater, LA); GORGEOUS! Starring Lesli Margherita; Tom Lenk's: WILL YOU BE MY SPECIAL FRIEND? (Acme Comedy); Michael John LaChiusa's FIRST LADY SUITE (The Blank) and THE GRAVE WHITE WAY (Lambs, NY; Hudson Backstage, LA). Recently Lauren ventured into film producing with the Slamdance hit Weather Girl directed by Blayne Weaver.
