Lea Michele To Make Hollywood Cabaret Debut 8/15-8/17

Spring Awakening and recent Les Miserables in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl star Lea Michele will be performing at Upright Cabaret in Mark's Restaurant (861 N. La Cienega Blvd) on August 15-17, 2008. With the Friday night and Saturday night shows sold out, an additional Sunday night 9pm show has just been added and is already selling fast.

Joining Michele as a special guest star will be John Lloyd Young, who just played Marius alongside Michele's Eponine from August 8-10th Michele at Les Miserables concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

Her performance at Mark's will be directed by Richard Jay-Alexander (who also directed the Les Miserables concert) with musical direction by Ben Toth. The show is being produced by Chris Isaacson and Shane Scheel. Tickets can be purchased at: http://www.inticketing.com/evinfo.php?eventid=25950.

Lea Michele starred on Broadway in Spring Awakening as Wendla, receiving a 2007 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. She also performed in Fiddler On The Roof (Shprintze and Chava), Ragtime (Little Girl) and Les Miserables (Young Cosette). Off Broadway she appeared in Hot and Sweet (Naleen) and Spring Awakening (Wendla). Her regional credits include The Diary of Anne Frank (Anne) at Round House Theater, Ragtime (Little Girl) at Toronto's Ford Center. In workshop productions, she was seen in Samson and Delilah (Delilah), King (Anisette), Spring Awakening (Wendla) and Wuthering Heights (Lucy).  Her TV credits include "The Big Ten," "Third Watch," and "Guiding Light."
