Laguna Playhouse Announces Spring and Summer Classes

Children ages 7 through 12 can have fun and gain impressive life skills by taking class and performing live on stage in one of the Laguna Playhouse Spring and Summer 2013 Youth Theatre Classes.

Spring Musical Theatre Workshop runs May 17 to June 14 and meets once a week on Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00pm at The Laguna Playhouse. For ages 9 to 14, this special class in five weeks will teach the five vocal techniques every singer should know.

Summer Musical Theatre and Acting Classes begin July 8 to July 19 and meet daily (Monday-Friday) from 9:00am to Noon for two weeks. Acting Ensemble Workshop is ideal for ages 7 to 9. Students explore self expression and work together to write an original script which will be performed on Friday, July 19 at 11:00am. The Acting Ensemble Workshop meets at the Laguna Playhouse. Kids on Broadway Musical Theatre Workshop for ages 9 to 12 meets at the Soka University Performing Arts Center in Aliso Viejo. This year's theme is

Annie the Musical and students will be performing selected scenes, songs and choreography in a final showcase on Friday July 19 at 12-Noon. This Musical Theatre Performance class is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate students.
