La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts reaches a true milestone by announcing the most added presentations it has EVER offered its 39-year history! For the first time, patrons will enjoy 22 unforgettable and can't-miss events in one extraordinary theatre. LMT's most spectacular, most star-studded, most "special" special events season ever features everything from superstar comedian Bob Newhart to Vicki Lawrence and Mama; from Classic Albums Live!, showcasing the music of David Bowie and Creedence Clearwater Revival to Sing-Alongs with "Grease" and "Willy Wonka;" also, a National Theatre Live screening of "Amadeus;" country's Terri Clark, legendary Judy Collins; our on-stage Cabaret series; and so much more! Don't miss this night of classics, led by original founding members of Sly & The Family Stone and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Jerry Martini and Greg Errico. The first inter-racial/inter-gender horn section in Rock & Roll history brings you Sly & The Family Stone's big hits. Together with Phunne Stone and some of the funkiest players of all time, they present an explosive set of classic hits like "Everyday People," "Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin," "Dance To The Music," and "Family Affair."

This beloved comedian's career has spanned two successful television shows, fourteen feature films, sold millions of albums worldwide and still performs to sell-out crowds all over the country. Fans flock to Bob's live performances to hear such Newhart standards as The Driving Instructor, Sir Walter Raleigh, and The Submarine Commander. These timeless classics are enjoyed by young and old alike all across America, and now Bob brings them to La Mirada for the very first time!

Legendary comedian Groucho Marx is back in this fast-paced 90 minutes of hilarity. Award-winning actor/director/playwright Frank Ferrante recreates his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal. The two-act comedy consists of the best Groucho one-liners, anecdotes and songs including "Hooray For Captain Spalding,"
and "Lydia, the Tattooed Lady." The audience literally becomes part of the show as Ferrante ad-libs his way throughout the performance in grand Groucho style. Accompanied by his onstage pianist, Ferrante portrays the young Groucho of stage and film and reacquaints us with the likes of brothers Harpo, Chico, Zeppo and Gummo, Charlie Chaplin, W.C. This upbeat, interactive experience begins with your Sing-a-long Grease host leading a vocal warm-up, showing you how to use your free fun pack during the film and suggesting some appropriate shout-outs and actions. You were born to hand-jive, baby! Then, watch Danny & Sandy, Rizzo and the gang, while singing (and dancing) along to the lyrics on the screen. It couldn't be easier... or more fun! Get Ready for Wonka-vision! Fans of all ages will love this scrumdidilyumptious sing-along experience on the BIG SCREEN -- complete with "chocolate river" and Oompa Loompas. Presented by Guggenheim Entertainment, your journey to the Wonka factory begins once some lucky guests find the golden tickets hidden in the theatre. Then, our host will lead a vocal warm-up, show you how to use the themed props in your Fun Pack (included with admission), and teach you the choreography from some of the songs from the movie. The Doo Wop Project begins at the beginning, tracing the evolution of Doo Wop from the classic sound of five guys singing tight harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits on the radio today. Vicki Lawrence & MAMA

Emmy Award-winning comedienne Vicki Lawrence is one of the most beloved television personalities of her generation. Plucked out of total obscurity as a high school senior, Vicki went on to become part of the now-legendary cast of the "Carol Burnett Show." In the seventh season, and hundreds of hilarious sketches later, at the ripe, old age of 24, Vicki created her most endearing character to date, Thelma Harper, or "Mama" as she is better known to her fans. After the Burnett Show, Vicki went on to star in "Mama's Family." The multi-talented entertainer is mostly known for her acting and comedic talents, but she also earned a gold record for the 1973 hit, "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia."

Ms. Lawrence takes the stage first in this two woman show. "My show is not a retrospective," she explains. "It is a mixture of stand-up comedy, music and my observations about real life. I think people will get a kick out of the things Mama has an opinion about. Where Mama is concerned, expect the unexpected.
