The LA Times has named its Faces to Watch in 2010 in theatre. The list, generated annually, includes up-and-coming actors, writers, directors, and plays or musicals that they expect to make an impact in the Theatre World in the upcoming year. This year's top three includes Brian Geraghty, who is set to star in the upcoming THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, author of DOCTOR CERBERUS, and Reeve Carney of the upcoming Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK.

Brian Geraghty has been recently seen in the major motion pictures "Jarhead" and "The Hurt Locker." He will be seen this season at the Mark Taper Forum in Frank D. Gilroy's THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES. Geraghty will play World War II veteran Timmy Cleary in his return to the Bronx after the war. The play will also feature Martin Sheen and Frances Conroy as Geraghty's parents.

Robert Aguirre-Sacasa is the author of the new radio play DOCTOR CERBERUS. Aguirre-Sacasa has, until recently, been an author for Marvel Comics. A graduate of Yale, he has seen his plays premiered at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington D.C., the Manhattan Theatre Club, and Steppenwolf in Chicago. DOCTOR CERBERUS will premiere with an L.A. Theatre Works taping and broadcast.

After facing much turmoil leading up to its expected opening, SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK should premiere on Broadway later this year. Directed by visionary Julie Taymor, SPIDER-MAN features a score by U2's Bono and The Edge and is expected to be the most expensive production in Broadway history, at an estimated $50 million, with $1 million a week running costs. The cast will feature newcomer Reeve Carney as Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Evan Rachel Wood as Mary Jane.
