L.A. Theatre Works is set to record a stage adaptation of Moss Hart's 'Act One' for radio broadcast and online download, featuring Jane Kaczmarek as Aunt Kate. Performances run April 27-30 at UCLA's James Bridges Theater.
Act One, written by James Lapine from Moss Hart's best-selling autobiography, celebrates Broadway and the life of the playwright whose wit and wisdom charmed the American stage for decades.
Directed by Moss's son, Christopher Hart and starring Jane Kaczmarek in multiple roles including "Aunt Kate," each of the five performances at UCLA's state-of-the-Art James Bridges Theater will be recorded live in front dio broadcast, distof an audience for future raribution on CD, digital download, podcast and online streaming.
L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series broadcasts weekly on public radio stations across the U.S. (locally, in Southern California, on KPFK 90.7 FM); can be heard daily in China and around the world on the Radio Beijing Network; can be downloaded as a podcast via iTunes and Wondery.com; and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.
