LA Drama Critics Awards Held on 3/17

The 39th annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards will be handed out on March 17 at North Hollywood's El Portal Theatre. The awards, recognizing excellence in Southern California theatre, including Los Angeles and Orange County, will be hosted by Jason Graae.

Laurie Metcalf, Michael John LaChiusa, Gregory Itzin, JoBeth Williams, Jeff Calhoun, Jason Robert Brown's 13 and Tim Acito and Alexander Dinelaris' Zanna, Don't! are among nominees.

Zanna, Don't! and 13, along with dark play or stories for boys and Love Loves a Pornographer took the most nods with five each.

Also scoring high in multiple nominations were Elephant Theater's In Arabia, We'd All Be Kings, Geffen Playhouse's The Quality of Life and the Center Theater Group/Kirk Douglas Theater premiere of Sleeping Beauty Wakes.
