Special guest Sue Raney was signed to Capitol Records at age 17 and, with Nelson Riddle, recorded her first album called "When Your Lover Is Gone." Since then, she's recorded more than 20 other albums singing Johnny Mandel, Henry Mancini, and dozens of other Great American Songbook songs. She's been raved about by such NY critics as Rex Reed, who says he'd travel to LA just to hear her sing, by Nat "King" Cole, and by Julie Andrews, who calls her "a marvel." http://sueraneysro.com

Our 36th Kritzerland show is devoted to the brilliant songs of Meredith Willson and Gene de Paul. Producer Bruce Kimmel has recorded many songs by each and is thrilled to do an entire evening of their wonderful material. Meredith Willson, of course, gave Broadway one of its most enduring hits, The Music Man, a musical filled with one amazing song after another, several of which we'll be doing. He also wrote the Broadway and film hit, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Here's Love (based on Miracle on 34th Street), and a musical about Christopher Columbus called 1491 that never made it to Broadway.

Gene de Paul might not be a name everyone knows but he was a superb composer of the Great American Songbook, with hits like "I'll Remember April," "You Don't Know What Love Is," "Teach Me Tonight," and many, many others. But he's best known for his iconic song score to the MGM film musical masterpiece, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and his one Broadway musical, which has one of the best and most fun scores ever written for Broadway - Li'l Abner, both written with lyricist Johnny Mercer.

Our show will be filled with songs you will know instantly as well as the more obscure songs we're known for presenting. The one thing we can guarantee you is you'll leave humming the incredible melodies these two men gave the world. As always, we've assembled a great cast and we have a very special guest star in Sue Raney, the legendary singer whose work has delighted people since the 1950s. We may also have a couple of little surprises, but we ain't talkin'. So, come join us and delight in some of the best music and lyrics ever - a cornucopia of songs that will leave you in musical theatre heaven.

Your phone reservation will be confirmed. Dinner reservations can be made from 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Reservations have already started coming in, and are highly recommended. The cover charge is $15 with a $10 food minimum and a $3 facility charge. You can eat dinner and see the show for only $28!

The Federal Bar is adjacent to the El Portal Theatre.
