The versatile and accomplished performer Katey Sagal will be featured for the first
time in the Orange County Performing Arts Center's popular Cabaret Series December 10 - 13 in
Samueli Theater at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Though you may know her as Peg Bundy, Sagal
considers singing her first love and began her career as a back- up singer for Bette Midler, Bob Dylan and KISS before gaining fame as one of TV's most popular comediennes (8 Simple Rules and Married with Children). Never one to shy away from the spotlight, she returns to the stage for a sassy, brassy and brilliant evening of inspired song and laughter.

Recent appearances by Sagal include The catalina Bar and Grill in Los Angeles and a successful run at the famous Plush Room in San Francisco. This spring she returned to San Francisco for four days at the Rrazz Room at the Hotel Nikko.

Tickets to see Katey Sagal are $72 and are available at OCPAC.org, at the Center's Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling 714.556.2787. For inquiries about group ticket discounts for 15 or more, call the Group Services office at 714.755.0236. The TTY number is 714.556.2746.

Sagal received national attention for her role as the outrageous Peg Bundy in the ground-breaking,
highly-rated, long-running series Married with Children, for which she earned three Golden Globe® and two American Comedy Award nominations.

Most recently, Sagal starred in the ABC series 8 Simple Rules and as the voice of Leela, a beautiful oneeyed alien, in the animated series Futurama. In addition to her acting, Sagal is a critically acclaimed singer and songwriter. She was a Harlette with Midler for five years as well as a background singer for Olivia Newton-John, Etta James and Tanya Tucker.

With the support of record label Valley Entertainment, she released her album Room in 2004. Room is the first record for Sagal since her 1994 debut, Well. Room is a combination of original songs penned by Sagal including "Life Goes Round," "Daddy's Girl" and "Wish I Were a Kid." Room was produced by Bob Thiele (Bonnie Raitt) and mixed by Ray Kennedy (Twangtrust/Steve Earle). Ivan Neville, Don Was and Shane Fontayne make appearances throughout the disc.

Sagal can be currently seen on FX's Sons of Anarchy. Her additional television credits include Eli Stone, Helen in Lost and Nancy Gilroy on The Shield. Feature film credits include The Good Mother, Maid to Order, Love Stinks and I'm Reed Fish.
