Jim Caruso'S CAST PARTY will return to Los Angeles for two nights, Wednesday and Thursday, February 29 & March 1, 2012. The 'extreme open mic' will take place at The Coterie, Hollywood's newest supper club, located at The Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa (1755 North Highland Avenue, Hollywood).

These upcoming Jim Caruso'S CAST PARTY evenings mark the sixth Los Angeles appearance for the Manhattan mainstay, hosted by Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch. After a full-page color feature in the Sunday LA Times, along with three hours on the top-rated KTLA Morning Show, the impromptu variety show/open mic had to turn away hundreds of audience hopefuls clamoring to watch a who's who of surprise entertainers, including Melissa Manchester, Carol Channing, Cybill Shepherd, The Tonics, Dave Koz, Joanne Worley, Legally Blonde composers Larry O'Keefe & Nell Benjamin, Taylor Dayne, Jason Graae, Debby Boone, Shoshana Bean, internet sensation Miranda Sings, Broadway leading man James Barbour and many more.

Jim Caruso'S CAST PARTY is a wildly popular weekly soiree that has been bringing a sprinkling of Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night for the past nine years. It's a cool cabaret night-out enlivened by a hilariously impromptu variety show. Showbiz superstars hit the stage alongside up-and-comers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle. Recently, Cast Party has taken to the road, becoming the ultimate spot to mix and mingle with talented show folk and their fans all over the country. The buoyant, sharp and charming Caruso guides the entire affair like a bubbly cruise director, musical genius Billy Stritch holds court at the ivories, and the audience is invited to participate in the festivities! It's the party that would happen if somehow David Letterman and Ed Sullivan threw a hip house party around a grand piano! www.CastPartyNYC.com.
