A teenage country music group that is getting a lot of attention in Nashville, Tennessee, is coming to Anaheim. Indiana-based Jetset Getset will perform at THE RANCH Saloon on Sunday, May 5, as part of the live country music and dance venue's Family Night Sunday for ages 10 and up.
Recognized by the Country Music Association (CMA) as "Who New to Watch in 2013," Jetset Getset is promoting their new album, "Saturday Night," which is available through iTunes and Amazon. The title track is being played on a growing number of radio stations nationwide and in Europe.
Fronted by singers Tori Little (16), Sadie Loveland (16) and Avery Eliason (15), Jetset Getset has received positive reviews. Music News Nashville wrote that Jetset Getset has the "potential to be country music's next powerhouse female trio." Music Connection Magazine described their style as "sprightly country twang."
In addition to the singers, Jetset Getset is comprised of lead guitarist Jason Owens (17), rhythm guitarist Justen Jette (15), bass guitarist Paul Kelley (17), drummer Gillian Bowman (13) and keyboard player Terry Ranck, the only adult who performs with the group on a regular basis.
Filling in for Ranck at THE RANCH will be 15-year-old, award-winning keyboardist Ben Babylon of Los Angeles, son of the late Guy Babylon, who was Elton John's longtime keyboard player and arranger. Babylon is currently working on his debut album with help from members of the Elton John Band.
"Ben Babylon is an amazing musician who has grown up surrounded by some of the best performers in the business," said Kelli Jette, manager of Jetset Getset. "We are honored that he is going to be joining us in Anaheim."
An accomplished jazz and rock artist, Babylon has his own band, the Ben Babylon Band, which often performs at venues throughout Southern California. His appearance with Jetset Getset will be his first in the country music realm.
"Jetset Getset has catchy songs," Babylon said. "The first time I listened to their CD, I was able to jump in and play along. This is going to be a fun show."
Formed in 2011, Jetset Getset was performing on "The Shotgun Red Variety Show" on RFD-TV in Nashville last year, when retired record producer and radio personality, Jack Gale saw them. Impressed with the singers' harmonies, Gale came out of retirement and reactivated his record label, Playback Records, to produce for Jetset Getset, with co-producer Jim Pierce. Gale and Pierce had previously worked with top names in country music, including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Buck Owens.
Jetset Getset will perform Live at THE RANCH, 1025 E. Ball Road, Anaheim, CA 92805, on Sunday, May 5, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Cover Charge is $10.00 for all ages and doors open at 4:00PM.
