James Snyder Joins Julie Garnyé in Concert at the Renaissance Hollywood

The Coterie today announced that Broadway star James Snyder will join Julie Garnyé in her previously-announced concert Julie Garnyé Does Her Friends tonight. Performing all new material selected by her closest friends, it really doesn't get more personal than this.

Garnyé and Snyder will have the distinction of giving the inaugural performance is the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel's new supper club in the Twist Restaurant space. Julie Garnyé Does Her Friends, playing October 5th, is a night of new beginnings for all and a concert event that is not to be missed.

About the Artists

Julie Garnyé is a singer, actress, voiceover artist, host and producer. As a performer, she most recently appeared in the Disney animated film Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure as the singing voice of the fairy Lyria, Les Miserables at The Hollywood Bowl (directed by Richard Jay-Alexander), Chess in Concert at the Ford Amphitheatre and starred with Tony-winners Alan Cumming and Alice Ripley in "Open All Night: The Music of Lance Horne." In New York, she recently appeared in the reading of Lance Horne's new musical The $trip and, in 2007, she was distinguished as the only female performer to be invited from outside New York to appear in the all-star Stephen Schwartz tribute concert at Town Hall. Other credits include Broadway: HAIR in Concert (last minute replacement for Tony Award winner Idina Menzel), CHESS in Concert, The Easter Bonnet Competition. James Snyder has appeared on the stage and screen, from starring in John Waters's CRY-BABY at the La Jolla Playhouse and on Broadway (which earned him a Drama League Award nomination) to guest starring on television shows such as "Drop Dead Diva" and "CSI." He was most recently seen here in Los Angeles in DANGEROUS BEAUTY: at the Pasadena Playhouse. Additional stage credits include Marius in FANNY at NY City Center, BROADWAY: THREE GENERATIONS, the Los Angeles productions of ROCK OF AGES (also Las Vegas) and Happy Days, THE FANTSTICKS at Sacramento Music Theater, HAMLET, Ray Bradbury's LET'S ALL KILL CONSTANCE, SNEUX, PLOP and OKLAHOMA. He also played Luke Skywalker in the critically acclaimed "Star Wars Trilogy in 30 Minutes" in Los Angeles, Paris and Scotland. Film credits include "An American in China," "Anderson's Cross," "Shuttle," "She's The Man" and "Pretty Persuasion," which premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. Additional television credits include "Without a Trace," "Cold Case," "Gilmore Girls," "Married to the Kellys," "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and "Related." His first solo album, "L.A. Julie Garnyé Does Her Friends will be October 5th, 2011 at 8:30pm. Doors will open at 5pm for dinner. Advanced tickets are $10 and may be purchased in advance at www.thecoteriela.com. $15 tickets (cash or credit) will be available at the door 1 hour prior to showtime. $10 standing room tickets will be available at the bar (Must be 21+). While enjoying the music, guests are encouraged to try the delicious appetizers, entrees, desserts, and handcrafted signature cocktails.
