Tenacious D will be joined by Craig Robinson (The Office) and his band, The Nasty Delicious, and comedian Nick Swardson. Doors open at 7:30pm; show at 8:30pm. TICKETS ON SALE NOW, and are going fast. "We're raising money for a great organization called 24th Street Theatre, run by a really inspirational lady, Deb Devine, who was my first acting teacher." says Black. "And, she saved my life with the magic of theater." Black was inspired by theater as a teenager at West LA's Poseidon School where he met Devine. He came to know first-hand how theater can motivate kids and put them on the path to success. For the last two years, while serving on the Advisory Board of the company, he has played the role of spokesman and champion of the theater.
Electrifying young audiences for years, Devine helped develop 24th Street Theatre into one the leading Arts Education providers in the country, reaching over 35,000 kids since 1997. 24th Street Theatre has impacted other corners of the world, including South America, Central America and North America, and has served the US State Department as Cultural Envoys in El Salvador. In addition to the acclaimed outreach and Arts Education programming, 24 Street Theatre also produces and presents professional theatrical productions throughout the year.
