California Theatre Center returns to the Gallo Center for the Arts today, April 29 for a production of the English folktale Jack and the Beanstalk at 2:00 PM.

Jack and the Beanstalk, recommended for grades K-5, follows the lively adventures of young Jack as he acquires the magic beans in trade for his beloved cow and encounters the evil giant and his wife at the top of the beanstalk. Using his wits and ingenuity, Jack retrieves not only the townspeople's gold but also the precious goose which lays the golden eggs.

Established in 1976 and based in Sunnyvale, the California Theatre Center is a not-for-profit theatre company that has twice been recognized by the American Theatre Association as the top professional theatre for youth in the United States.  Among many awards, the company was also recently selected by Bay Area Parent Magazine as the Best Family Theatre.
