This summer, International City Theatre continues to give back to the community with its 17th annual low-cost Summer Youth Conservatory for kids ages 7-15.

The six-week program, taught by professionals in the entertainment industry, offers instruction in acting, music, dance and movement, and culminates with a free presentation for parents and friends on the International City Theatre stage at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center.

"This is one of my favorite ICT programs," says artistic director/producer caryn desai. "It fosters self-confidence and a love for the arts in our youngest generation. We're lucky to be able to keep the cost down for parents through a combination of fundraising and grants."

Beginning July 1 classes meet Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm at The Marketplace in Long Beach, on the corner of Pacific Coast Hwy. and 2nd St. (no class July 4). The performance takes place on August 8 at 6:30 pm. The all-inclusive fee is $395; sign up before May 1 for $20 off.

For more information and to register, call Sheila at 562-495-4595, ext. 10.
