A stellar international cast from Italy, Switzerland/France, South Africa/Australia, and the US is set to bring to life Patrick Marber's cold, calculated play about "the distance between men and women and the restless neediness of love".
What starts as a casual fling between two unsuspecting grifters turns into a savage power struggle as four strangers are toxically drawn to each other. Closer exposes its players in all of their bare naked desires as they throw down the gauntlet in a sensual game of human chess.
2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival participant, "Closer", will be directed by Christian Durso, produced by Cristina Rambaldi and Lize Johnston, and featuring Dan Evans, Neyssan Falahi, Lize Johnston, and Cristina Rambaldi.
"Closer" will run approximately 110 minutes and its limited engagement will include four performances at the Art of Acting Studio in Los Angeles in West Hollywood from June 3-15.
Admission is $15, and all proceeds will be donated to Stella Adler Outreach Division, a not-for-profit organisation which provides free acting training to inner city youth, under-served populations and correctional facilities in Los Angeles.
