Hugo Armstrong, Rebecca Metz, et al. to Star in Center Theatre Group's BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS

An additional reading of Burglars of Hamm's new comedy, "The Behavior of Broadus" has been announced for Sunday, September 18 at 7 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre as part of DouglasPlus Programming. The staged reading is in addition to the previously announced reading for Saturday, September 17 at 8 p.m.

Casting has also been set for the play by Burglars of Hamm (Carolyn Almos, Matt Almos, Jon Beauregard and Albert Dayan), which features original songs by Matt Almos and Brendan Milburn with Burglars of Hamm, and lyrics by Matt Almos and Burglars of Hamm.

Directed by Stefan Novinski, the cast of "The Behavior of Broadus" features (in alphabetical order) Hugo Armstrong, Rebecca Metz, William Salyers, Tim Sheridan, Devin Sidell, Graham Skipper, Michole Briana White and Matt Wolpe. The play features music direction by David O and choreography by Ken Roht.

Complete with lab rats, romance and music, "The Behavior of Broadus," tells the incredible, sort-of-true story of John Broadus Watson, the father of both behaviorism and modern advertising.

Burglars of Hamm is a four-person writing and performing partnership, based in Los Angeles, that has been creating original satires since 1998, most recently the multiple award-winning "Land of the Tigers." Other acclaimed productions include "Resa Fantastiskt Mystisk," "Focus Today," "Party Show," "Hot City" and "Easy Targets."

"The Behavior of Broadus" was commissioned by Center Theatre Group.

"The Behavior of Broadus" received generous support from The James Irvine Foundation's Arts Innovative Fund.

Funding for DouglasPlus is provided by the Leading for the Future Initiative, a program of the Nonprofit Finance Fund, funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.

Ample free parking is available (weekends and after 6 p.m. on weekdays) at the City Hall, located behind the theatre on Culver Blvd. and Duquesne Ave.
