Little Fish Theatre is delighted to announce the final show of its 2017 season -- a Christmas comedy - The Night Before The Night Before Christmas, written by Cricket Daniel. This heartwarming holiday piece is directed by Gigi Fusco Meese in her full-length play debut with Little Fish Theatre Company, where she previously directed for LFT's best-selling short play festival, Pick of the Vine.

In The Night Before The Night Before Christmas, Lou has wrestled with a big ball of tangled Christmas lights for the last time - Christmas is cancelled! Escaping New Jersey, the freezing cold, his nutty family, and most of all the holidays, is exactly what Lou plans to do. However, a freak snowstorm leaves Lou and wife Carol stranded in the airport and their dreams of sipping cocktails on the beach in peril. Will a couple of unlikely characters help restore the couple's Christmas Spirit in the St. Nick of time?

This season-ending show features all LFT Company Member actors. Taking on the lead role of dispirited husband Lou is James Rice, last seen in LFT's world premiere play A Very Special Holiday Special and director of 2017's The Good Doctor. His patient wife Carol is played by Madeleine Drake*, also an alum of A Very Special Holiday Special and director on this past season's Best of Pick of the Vine. Leo's kooky sister Mona is played by BeLinda Howell, who has worked at The Group Rep and Yale University theater, and was last seen on LFT's stage in Central Park West. Pia, Leo and Carol's harried daughter, is taken on by Kimberly Patterson, most recently at LFT in last season's Table Manners. Greg Prusiewicz of LFT's The 39 Steps plays Rudy, the cheerful, singing gate attendant. The zen-like and sage airport bartender, Nick, is played by Allen Barstow, also last seen in LFT's Best of Pick of the Vine.

"I'm thrilled to be directing my first full production at Little Fish Theatre. This cast has kept me in stitches as we watch our lead character, Lou, lose his holiday spirit only to find it in a place he might not have expected," says director Fusco Meese. "The Night Before The Night Before Christmas is the perfect show for everyone. It's just the show to kick off the holiday season."

The Night Before The Night Before Christmas will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm November 10 through December 16. Sunday 2:00pm matinees are November 19 and 26, along with December 3. The November 19 matinee features a special Talkback session where the actors and creative team will be available for 10 to 15 minutes for a post-show discussion with the audience.

Founded in 2002 as an artists' ensemble, Little Fish Theatre presents classic and contemporary plays in an intimate setting on Centre Street in downtown San Pedro.

*This production is presented under the auspices of the Actors' Equity Los Angeles Membership Company Rule.
