Multi-talented John DiFusco will return to Vietnam with his new play, Walk'n Thru The Fire, which will premiere at the Hayworth Theater June 15.
Described as a "memoir and spiritual journey through life, love and loss,"
Walk'n Thru The Fire is a "personal odyssey" for DiFusco from a small town in New England and through Vietnam, all told through poetry, humor, music and movement incorporating five actors.
DiFusco created the groundbreaking, critically-acclaimed Vietnam play
Tracers with a group of Vietnam veteran-actors, and directed the premiere production at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles. The play was subsequently produced by the Steppenwolf theater and directed by
Gary Sinise. Director, actor and writer, DiFusco has received numerous awards including: Drama-Logue awards, World Fest Houston Gold Award, The New York Drama Desk Award, two L.A. Weekly Awards, two NAACP Awards, A Robby Award, two Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Awards and the USAF Commendation Medal for Merit Service in Viet Nam.
