From October 15th through November 7th, Dorian Harewood and Alison Arngrim will star in Flirting with Morty, a play by Paula Mitchell-Manning, at the Acme Comedy Theater in Los Angeles.

Alison Arngrim ("Little House on the Prairie") and introducing Sean McNabb (of the band Quiet Riot).
Flirting With Morty is a trek through Baby Hunter's past adventures and current torment. The play leads audiences through an emotional journey they will never forget. Through the use of original R&B music, dance, voodoo and humor when you least expect it -- the issues of incest and the cycle of sexual abuse are explored.
Flirting With Morty is a thought-provoking theatrical experience that leaves its audiences entertained, uplifted and informed," according to press materials. Phil Ramuno will direct.
Flirting with Morty was chosen to be in the 2001 Edge of the World Festival and was nominated for the NAACP 2001 Theatre Award for "Best Ensemble". The play also received Honorable Mention in three categories for Backstage West's Garland Awards, Production Design, Musical Score and Best Actress. Playwright Paula Mitchell-Manning and composer John Lathan were also nominated for Theatre LA's 2002 Ovation Awards for World Premiere Musical. Manning recently received a nod as co-producer and contributing playwright for the critically acclaimed play
Colored Contradictions. Her short film
Bringing Up BayBay is currently running on the film festival circuit.
The show will play: Sunday Oct 15th - Tuesday Nov 7th (Sunday - Tuesday), 5:00 on Sunday and 8:00pm Monday and Tuesday. The Acme Comedy Theatre is located at 135 N. La Brea in LA.
