Broadway, television and film star Hal Linden will be the special guest at Coachella Valley Repertory's April 29th Luminary Luncheon at 12:00 noon.

Everyone knows him as their favorite television police captain, Barney Miller, but perhaps few know Mr. Linden made his Broadway debut opposite the delightful Judy Holliday in the musical Bells Are Ringing or that he continued in a string of Broadway, Off-Broadway and screen successes before making his way to television, including The Rothschilds, for which he won the 1971 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. These days he spends much of his time on the road with his show Hal Linden In Concert, an entertaining combination of songs and theatrical musings highlighting memorable moments from his life and career. While Mr. Linden may not sing his way through this Luminary Luncheon, he will certainly keep us captivated with his charm and good humor.

This special luncheon, which is open to the public, is part of CVRep's series of Luminary Luncheons and will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center, 39000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage. The luncheon, sponsored by Lulu California Bistro and Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort and Spa, begins at noon and will be followed by an Actors Studio-style interview, conducted by emcee and TV/Radio host Don Martin, with Mr. Linden. Tickets are $45, and reservations are required as seating is limited. For tickets, call our box office at 760-296-2966 or visit our website at www.cvrep.org.

Directions to the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center: From eastbound Country Club Drive turn left onto John Sinn Road (one block east of Bob Hope Drive near the Eisenhower Emergency sign). Follow John Sinn Road past Roxbury Drive. The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower Medical Center is the circular building on the left.
