The Stella Adler Academy & Theatre continues its Hollywood Speaks at the Adler series with An Evening With Valerie McCaffrey on May 18th, 2015, at 830pm (The Stella Adler Theatre 6773 Hollywood Blvd. 2nd Floor, 90028). ONE EVENING ONLY.

As an independent casting director coming from the studio level, Valerie McCaffrey uses her knowledge to a producing capacity as well. She recently produced a film called Lost And Found In Armenia with Jamie Kennedy and Angela Sarafyan. She has completed a cancer documentary Cancer, It's In The System, in which she co-directed and coproduced with Cindy Pruitt. She also produced an award-winning film and directed it entitled Neo Ned, starring Gabrielle Union and Jeremy Renner. Along with producing, Valerie also cast the critically acclaimed Hard Candy (she put Ellen Page in her first American film).

From April 1994 - 2000, Valerie held the position of Vice President of Feature Film Casting for New Line / Fine Line Films. During her tenure at New Line / Fine Line, McCaffrey cast scores of films, developing strong relationships with all major talent agencies and management firms. Among the many highlights of her career, she cast Edward Norton and Eddie Furlong in New Line Cinema's American History X, which Norton was nominated for an Academy Award. She also cast Babe, which garnered James Cromwell an Oscar nomination for his performance as the pig farmer, produced by George Miller.

She is in pre-production on a film, Men Of Granite, which is a true story of a group of poor immigrant boys during the depression era who against all odds, end up winning the state championship in basketball. Valerie is on the Board of Directors for The World Children's Transplant Fund, and has taught drama to inner city kids for 3 ½ years through the LAPD gang prevention program.

The acclaimed Stella Adler Theater Academy in Los Angeles has been organizing speakers for their monthly "Hollywood Speaks" event that gives their acting students priceless insight and advice from established industry professionals. Past speakers have been Mark Ruffalo, Jeffrey Reddick, Troy Duffy, Allison Janney, Bethany Rooney, Clifton Collins, Jr., Brad Fischer and Bill Ratner and Court Five's Mark Ordesky and Jane Fleming.

"HOLLYWOOD SPEAKS AT THE ADLER-LA" is an on-going series that is open to the public and is part of The Stella Adler Academy & Theatre Outreach Program. Stella Adler Academy & Theatre is a non-profit organization located at 6773 Hollywood Blvd., 2nd Floor, Hollywood, CA. 90028. Admission is Free (100% of All Donations will go to benefit The Stella Adler Academy Scholarship Program.)
