Inspired by true events, "Hollywood Girl: The Peg Entwistle Story, is based the on tragic ending of film actress & Broadway
muse, Peg Entwistle. Peg is most remembered as the starlet who leapt off
the *Hollywood(land)* sign in the midst of the great depression and on the
verge of her own career breakthrough in 1932.

The film is being praised for evoking emotional empathy for the beautiful
and talented young actress whose memory lives on as the "Hollywood Sign
Girl". The story follows Peg in the last days, hours of her life, and her
untimely tragic death.

Actress, producer Laura Liguori, who stars as Entwistle, conceived the idea
for the film while sitting on her balcony looking up at the Hollywood sign
after receiving news that she had lost a role she had anticipated getting.

Liguori states, "Optimism is the key to success in this industry, because
rejection is all too common. I've learned to keep my head up, be grateful
for what comes and let go of what passes. As long as you give your best
effort, your dreams will not fail you."

Filmmaker, James Pomichter and partner, film producer, Veronica Barriga of Arcane Pacific Entertainment, brought this film to life. James wrote and directed this poignant story, the first of its kind. An actor himself, he hopes to honor Entwistle's life story

"In the days following her suicide, the media had unfairly labeled her as a
failed actress, printing her story in a very negative light. However,
that's not how I chose to portray Peg. I wanted to show her as a
vulnerable, passionate young woman, who fell victim to despair as so many
others did at that time." He said.

The film also stars, veteran actor, Michael Rotthaar in an award worthy
performance as "Uncle Charles" and includes cameos from Maureen Teefy
(Grease 2, Fame, Supergirl), Will Rotthaar (Battle Los Angeles, Killing
Kennedy), and Dan Riordan (Dream Girls, Ed Wood).

Composer, music producer, James Emley contributes to the story with an
original score. "I wanted to invoke an era and capture its nostalgic jazz
melodies. For the climax, it was about giving a rich and emotional
soundscape to Peg's tragic arc" said Pomitcher.

On a final note, "we hope others can remember Peg for more than just a
ghost that haunts the Hollywood sign, but as a great talent that should
have stayed with us just a little while longer. We invite the public to
celebrate Peg's legacy," says Pomichter.
