Grove Theater Center (GTC) will present Carney Magic, a performance piece featuring the most awarded performer in the history of Hollywood's famed Magic Castle, from April 5 to April 26 at 1111-b West Olive, Burbank, California. Performances are on Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $20.

Carney Magic is much more than a magic show and much more amazing than any play. Pin-balling between jaunty comedic riffs, multiple characters, and mind-boggling sleight of hand, John Carney leads the audience through an exploration of the importance of wonder and imagination in our lives. His approach is smart, engaging, and often hilarious.

Carney has been seen on David Letterman's Late Show and performed all over the world. He is widely recognized as one of the top sleight of hand artists in the world, but he isn't quite like any magician you've ever seen before. There aren't any big boxes, tigers, dancing girls, or lasers -- just a quirky, likable guy, cracking-wise and doing some pretty amazing things.

The set is designed by three-time Ovation Award nominee Leonard Ogden. Lighting is designed by David Darwin, a 2014 Ovation Award nominee. Carney Magic is family friendly, but not a kiddie show. Recommended for ages 8 to 85.
