Now that the evening is turning brisk and the leaves are beginning to fall, the time has come to plan your holiday festivities. With great anticipation, The Hollywood Christmas Parade/Live Positively Presented by Coca-Cola will once again travel down the streets of Hollywood in grand style on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.
This American tradition for over 80 years is a way to kick-off the holiday season. Celebrities from stage, screen, sports and more will ride in classic cars or elaborately decorated floats. Bands from California, Indiana, Connecticut and Kansas will perform standards to help spectators get in the holiday mood.
Brilliantly adorned equestrians units will dazzle the audience as well. There is sure to be something for all walks of like, both young and old. For the young, and even the young at heart, Santa Claus will make his appearance at the end of the parade signifying its grand finale.
Special reserved seating is available and can be purchased through the official ticket line at 866-PARADE1 (866-727-2331). Ticket prices are $35 each, with group discounts available starting with groups of 25 or more. Grandstand ticket holders often get a special treat as some acts perform only in the filming area for the televised broadcast and do not make the entire parade route.
The parade steps off at Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Street, travels east on Hollywood Boulevard to Vine Street, south on to Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard and then west on Sunset Boulevard back to Orange Street.
For up-to-date information, visit the parade website,
