The intimate Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater will round out its 2006/2007 season with the close of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig on July 15th.

The production is currently running with original New York cast member Ashlie Atkinson resuming her role as Helen, a physically substantial woman who randomly and willingly accepts the unexpected advances of Tom, played by Joe Sikora.  Jon Bernthal portrays the role of Carter as Tom's audacious yet understood confidant with Jamie Ray Newman in the role of Jeannie, Tom's recent love interest set aside in the wake of the plot.

The production, directed by Jo Bonney (All That I Will Ever Be, subUrbia) stars Atkinson (The Butcher of Baraboo) as Helen, Jon Bernthal (The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui and The Fifth of July Off-Broadway) as Carter, JaiMe Ray Newman (film: Catch Me If You Can) as Jeannie and Joe Sikora (West Coast premiere of Killer Joe) as Tom.

"Awarded the Preservation Award by the Los Angeles Conservancy, the Award of Excellence from the Society of American Registered Architects, and the Architectural Award of Excellence by the Los Angeles Business Council for its acclaimed 2005, $19 million renovation, the Geffen Playhouse is currently (2006/2007) in production of its 11th season, enjoying its stature as a leading West Coast theater company and the crown jewel of Los Angeles theater," state press notes.
