Upright Citizens Brigade comedian Bridgid Ryan grew up in the food service business. Her parents own a restaurant in Philadelphia named Bridgid's and she has worked at various restaurants, coffee shops, and even that pizza place featured in the This American Life episode about Penn State University. In Brooklyn, she worked at a now-defunct 3rd wave coffee shop that made her wonder if everyone has gone mad. While there, serving cold brew coffee to Brooklyn's finest hipsters, she composed this sketch comedy show. All the awful people you've stood in line behind come to life in GRIND TIME, about the worst alternative coffee shop in Brooklyn.
