SKIN JOBS, a new play about whitewashing in superhero blockbusters from the director of the acclaimed Obama-meets-Trump comedy TRANSITION, will make its world premiere May 31, 2018 at The Broadwater in the Hollywood Fringe Festival. SKIN JOBS will run five shows, with closing night set for June 20.

SKIN JOBS follows two young women - Kerri (Virginia Tran), an Asian-American visual effects artist, and Viv (Claire Fazzolari), a white blogger covering Hollywood, best friends since film school - whose relationship, values, and careers are put to the test when one is employed in a secret capacity on a new superhero movie ... which stars a white actress as a character who is biracial in the original graphic novels.

SKIN JOBS is the third world premiere staged at the Hollywood Fringe Festival by director Lee Costello following her productions of LOS ANGELYNE and THE PORTABLE Dorothy Parker. SKIN JOBS also marks the Hollywood Fringe debut of Jim Vejvoda, a playwright and journalist with over ten years of experience covering the film industry, where he has chronicled the rise of comic book movies from niche genre to the dominant force at the global box office.

All performances are in the Studio at The Broadwater, located at 1078 Lillian Way, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Running Time: 30 minutes.

Tickets are $12 each and go on sale May 1st here: http://hff18.org/5132
