Through song, dance, and pie fights, and everything you'd come to expect from a Vaudeville show, discover the unlikely alliance between General Andrew Jackson and gentleman pirate Jean Lafitte that helped sink the British at the Battle of New Orleans.

FOUR CLOWNS is dedicated to showing humanity in all its forms through the archetype of the clown. Since the clown plays in extremes of emotion, it helps to magnify the frailties of the human condition. From the xenophobia and rage of Andrew Jackson to the lust and arrogance of Jean Lafitte. By making these characters into the clowns they are, we begin to see ourselves in these larger than life figures. The structure of a vaudeville plays well in the retelling of a negotiation, as most vaudeville acts involve some kind of back-and-forth. In 1814, these two men, who couldn't have seemed more different, teamed up to defend the country they loved against an invading force. Now, more than ever, the idea of two people with fundamentally different worldviews coming together for each one's mutual benefit is an important one to tell.

Oh, and it's a hell of a lot of fun.
