The Found Theatre of Long Beach will host three performances of the powerful one-man show "Pocho In The House," which uses humor to break down stereotypes and foster cross-cultural understanding.
Written and performed by Joe Voltierra, "Pocho In The House" is a personal tour through life growing up--and continuing to grow up--in the sometimes strange, sometimes amusing, always interesting reality of a Mexican-American in contemporary California. Emphasizing the ways that our differences reveal our similarities, "Pocho In The House" opens a window on the human condition and gives us a chance to laugh, cry and explore our common humanity.
"Pocho In The House" runs for one weekend only in Long Beach, Friday and Saturday, September 5 and 6, at 8:30 p.m., andSunday, September 7 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 and may be reserved at 562-433-3363 or info@foundtheatre.org. The Found Theatre is located at 599 Long Beach Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90802. For more information, visit foundtheatre.org orpochointhehouse.com.
