Falcon Theatre will present The Mystery of Irma Vep, written by Obie Award-winner Charles Ludlam, directed by Jenny Sullivan, and starring Matthew Floyd Miller and Jamie Torcellini, the second production of the Falcon Theatre's 2013-2014 Subscription Season.
Named one of the best plays of 1984 byThe New York Times, this ridiculous romp begins on a dark and stormy night when Lady Enid and Lord Edgar arrive at their haunted estate. Including a vampire attack, a werewolf hunt and a journey to an ancient Egyptian tomb, the laughs erupt as a mystery unfolds in this side-splitting spoof of horror movies, classic literature, Victorian melodrama, Hitchcock and the conventions of theatre itself, complete with monsters, mummies and damsels in distress.
The show begins previews October 16 - 19 at 8pm; October 20 4pm; October 23 & 24 at 8pm, ahead of an official opening night of Friday, October 25, 2013 at 8pm. The productino will close on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 4pm.
