The American-Chinese CEO Society, a non-profit organization of CEOs from high-profile US and Chinese companies, held its annual Hollywood China Night Gala and Award Ceremony at the Taglyan Complex, in celebration of the 2019 Academy Awards.

Chairman/CEO Threshold Entertainment Larry Kasanoff and iconic fashion designer Sue Wong awarded E! founder Larry Namer with the Silver Rose Lifetime Achievement Award at the star-studded event, spotlighting his contribution to East West cultural collaboration.

A true media industry pioneer, Larry Namer was the first to bring Western entertainment to the former Soviet Union, and very early on, was the primary consultant to Microsoft for the development of interactive TV.

Today, he is focused on China as a founding partner of Metan Global Entertainment Group, creating content and media specifically for the Chinese market. Metan is now co-producing a 20-part TV series for US television about modern China. He is also the executive producer on the upcoming feature film "EMPRESS" about the first female ruler of China, Empress Wu, that will examine the fascinating character from a Western viewpoint.
