A sexy and culturally diverse take on the play that won an Outer Critics Circle Award for BEST Off-Broadway Play, while bringing Laura Linney a Theatre World Award and nominations for both the Tony and Drama Desk Awards, comes to the Lounge Theatre (2014 LADCC nomination for One in the Chamber) on March 14th.

American artist Jonathan Waxman, as superstar, attends a celebrated opening of his work at a prominent London Gallery. The hazardous and humorous entanglement begins when, upon his arrival in England, he visits his former lover and muse in a village where she now lives with her British husband. After seeing an early painting that hangs in her house, he realizes that he must recapture the inspiration and purity he felt when he first painted her. Plunged into the exorbitant hype of the art world, where a publicist is as necessary as a brush and canvas, Jonathan begins to flail in this toxic triangle as he defends his work, his relationships, and even himself against anti-Semitism and sexism.

Donald Margulies (Playwright) received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, among other awards such as two OBIE's (Playwriting and BEST NEW AMERICAN PLAY), the National Foundation for Jewish Culture, American Academy of Arts and Letters, PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation for Theater, and the Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts Awards. His internationally renowned works include The Country House, Time stands Still, Dinner With Friends, Collected Stories, and What's Wrong With This Picture. His latest work, for screen, is the 2015 film "The End of the Tour."

Nicole Dominguez (Director) has worked extensively in theaters around the country, and in Los Angeles where credits include Knockout Mouse at The Blank Theatre, Sam's Birthday and Barophobia for the Young Playwrights Festival, C'est La Mort at Theatre of NOTE, Macbeth at Long Beach Playhouse, This is Where We Live at The Word @ The Road and most recently The Womens Image Network Awards. As a playwright, her piece The Things We Do When We're Alone was presented this season at Studio C and Honestly Ok: The Semi-True Story of a Girl and her Shoes (co-written with Lauren Stone) has been seen both at The Blank Theatre during The Hollywood Fringe Festival and in Montreal, QC at the Mainline Theatre.

SIGHT UNSEEN opens Saturday, March 14th and runs 8pm on Friday and Saturdays, 7pm on Sundays through April 26, 2015 (no performances April 3rd - 5th). The Lounge Theatre is located at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd Los Angeles, CA, with ample street parking. Tickets are $25. Reservations: (323) 960-4412 or online at www.plays411.com/unseen.
