Delta Highway Productions presents the Los Angeles Premiere of Emmitt and Ava written and directed by two-time Ovation winner Dominic Hoffman as a Co-production with Edgemar Center for the Arts. Tucker Smallwood shares the stage with with Tom Schanley, Stephanie Schulz and Harry Fowler in Emmitt and Ava, a contemporary tale of love and loss. Two families, unacquainted with one another, suddenly find themselves forced to communicate on most intimate terms. Emmitt and Ava is a play as dynamic as it is relevant.
Produced by Misty Carlisle and Erinn Anova with scenic design by William Moore Jr. and lighting design by Bosco Flanagan. Emmitt and Ava opens May 20th at 8 p.m. at the Edgemar Center for the Arts (2437 Main Street #B, Santa Monica, CA 90405) and runs Thursday's, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. through June 18th. About the Playwright/Director: Dominic Hoffman is a Double Ovation Award winner for his solo show: Uncle Jacque's Symphony. He won an NAACP Best Actor Award for his solo play, Last Fare. He is currently nominated for an Audie Award in Fiction for his reading of Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. Mr. Hoffman was last seen in Los Angeles as Henry Brown in David Mamet's, Race at The Kirk Douglas Theatre. He works in television and film as an actor and writer and does audio recordings of books.
