Burlesque dancer, model, fashion icon and lingerie designer Dita Von Teese will appear at the Julien's Auctions "Icons & Idols: Hollywood" Press Event on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Julien's Auctions Beverly Hills Gallery located at 9665 Wilshire Boulevard. Von Teese, who is widely known to have helped re-popularize burlesque performance, will celebrate the woman who originally created the art, the most famous name in burlesque, Gypsy Rose Lee. Von Teese will appear exclusively for media and will host the Eclectic Collection of Gypsy Rose Lee which will go up for auction on Friday, December 5, 2014.

The eclectic collection of famed burlesque artist Gypsy Rose Lee is being presented by her son whose vast array of personal items and career effects is an emotional construct of his mother.

Dita Von Teese, famous for her old Hollywood personal style and her hourglass figure, recently launched her glamorous line of lingerie under her name, as well as a full line of maternity lingerie, Von Follies by Dita Von Teese. She is currently expanding the collection into loungewear, for the ultimate lingerie experience, and is currently working on a documentary about burlesque, as well as a new glove collection.

The collection for auction includes the gloves that were a trademark of the Gypsy Rose Lee strip, a set of towels that were monogrammed with her initials, the rhinestone studded heels from her act, the foxtail fur from the Tiger Rag shimmy dance that was the finale of her acts, her personal stone martin stole that she wore all the time and numerous other items including original art, jewelry, furnishings and other memorabilia which have kept her alive in the minds of fans, collectors and family for years.
