Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre presents a special engagement of Disney's "Into The Woods," from Dec. 25, 2014 - Jan. 11, 2015. In addition, El Capitan guests have the opportunity to be among the first to see the film at a special advance screening on Dec. 24 at 7 p.m., complete with prizes and giveaways.

"There is no better place to experience the magic and wonder of Disney's INTO THE WOODS than the El Capitan Theatre," said Lylle Breier, senior vice president of worldwide special events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. "Only at the El Capitan will guests have the opportunity to see a display about the making of the movie featuring several of the spectacular costumes designed by Academy Award winner Colleen Atwood before and after every screening."

Daily showtimes are 10 a.m., 1:05 p.m., 4:10 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online at www.elcapitantickets.com, or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6. Special group rates for parties of 20 or more, as well as the "GOOD AS GOLD" special offer of 8 General Admission tickets for $96, are available by calling 1-818-845-3110. Show times are subject to change.

On select dates, El Capitan guests may see the movie costumes in a festive way at the Costume Mixer! Guests will have the opportunity to walk amongst the displays before the rest of the audience enters the theatre, while enjoying beer, wine, soft drinks and light fare, and receive a commemorative photo before seeing the 8 p.m. movie. Seating is limited and reservations are required.

The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special Tiny Tot Tuesday every Tuesday during the run of "Into The Woods" at 10 a.m. During these special screenings, parents and small children may enjoy the movie in a tot-friendly way-with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.

ABOUT "INTO THE WOODS" - "Into the Woods" is a modern twist on several beloved fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy), all tied together by an original story involving a Baker and his Wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the Witch (Meryl Streep), who has put a curse on them. Rob Marshall, the acclaimed filmmaker behind the Academy Award-winning musical "Chicago" and Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," directs the film, which is based on the musical stage production by legendary eight-time Tony, Grammy and Oscar-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim and Tony winner James Lapine, who also wrote the screenplay. Produced by John DeLuca, Marshall, "Wicked" producer Marc Platt and Callum McDougall, "Into the Woods" will be released in theaters December 25, 2014.
