"GROUP", a play about PTSD will premiere at the Avery Schreiber Playhouse in the NoHo Arts District during PTSD Awareness month. The story takes place in a group therapy session, during which a handful of characters explore their individual trauma. Guided by a caring therapist with his own issues, 5 victims of trauma must work through their struggles to discover that their perceptions of each other and themselves are not always what they seem. This play addresses issues relating to veterans, domestic abuse, racism, and gender identity.

Lesley Gouger (Writer) is a local writer and English teacher, with Master's degrees in Psychology and English. She is also the Communications Liaison for Defiance Theatre Company in North Hollywood, where she has been involved in several productions and serves on their board. Lesley has worked with numerous theatre companies in the LA area as a writer and performer, and in her rare free time, she co-runs a small Production Company called Rabbits2U, which has produced 3 shows to date, including 2 for the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Marjorie LeWit (Director) has been independently producing and directing theatre, film and music videos for 12 years in both NYC and LA. In Los Angeles, she has performed with The Next Arena and with Defiance Theatre Company where she is Associate Artistic Director. With Defiance, she has directed and acted in several plays including Jacques Freydont's "Eviction Notice".Marjorie recently directed the music video Jane Eyre for the 2017 Kleban Award winner Daniel Zaitchik and the short documentary Inner Warrior, which meets victims of trauma and PTSD. She just wrapped Grief as associate producer, which won the 2015 ScreenCraft Award and recently directed an award winning short callEd Stronger Than Pretty which premiered at Indie Lounge in Sundance 2017. Marjorie graduated with a BFA from Pace University NYC in 2005.
Paul Storiale (Producer) has been creating theatre in the NoHo Arts District for the last ten years. He has directed and produced numerous productions. His play the Columbine Project scored glorious reviews and awards in Los Angeles, and with the original cast in tow, the docudrama performed off-Broadway in 2009. He is the founder and Creative Director of Defiance Theatre Company and the creator of the webseries 'Gossip Boy'.
