David Hasselhoff, Morgan Spurlock and More Join Stan Lee Tribute Event

Comedian, Nerdist CEO, and podcast extraordinaire Chris Hardwick will lead a roster of celebrity guests and industry giants to celebrate one of the world's most beloved creators, Stan Lee, on August 22nd at the Saban Theatre (8440 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211). Extraordinary: Stan Lee is an once-in-a-lifetime tribute to the visionary behind The Avengers, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and countless others characters, and will take an intimate, nostalgic look back at his storied life and career.

Extraordinary: Stan Lee will broadcast live into more than 180 theaters nationwide, allowing true believers around the nation to experience the event in real-time. Fundraising platform Omaze is giving fans the chance to be flown out to LA for the event, meet Stan, receive exclusive merchandise, and more. The campaign benefits one of Stan's favorite charities, Make-A-Wish, to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Tickets to attend the Extraordinary: Stan Lee live event at the Saban Theatre are currently on sale through Ticketmaster.

VIP ticketholders to the Saban event will enjoy a meet-and-greet and professional portrait taken with Mr. Lee, an exclusive event t-shirt featuring a hand-drawn sketch of Spider-Man by Stan Lee, and a limited-edition enamel pin designed by Tom Whalen for Mondo. In support of the August 22nd in-home release of Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, VIP attendees will receive a complimentary Combo Pack (Blu-ray+DVD+Digital) and other fun giveaways from the film.

Iconic sport and style brand, FILA developed two special-edition footwear designs. Each custom creation put a Stan Lee spin on a classic FILA silhouette. Only two pairs of the FILA x Stan Lee shoes will be made, including one for Lee himself and one for the event's Omaze winner in support of Make-A-Wish. A second footwear silhouette was designed exclusively for the tribute event's VIP participants taking the stage. FILA will also launch a social media campaign to celebrate Stan.

As part of the tribute, Randolph Engineering will provide hand-crafted, made-in-America sunglasses to the presenters from the green room and in the celebrity VIP gift bags, as well as special pairs to Stan Lee.

The exclusive after-party will be 1970's themed and will feature Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol 2 photo opportunity activations. In addition, Shaka's Sunglasses will have an on-site activation for guests to design their own sunglasses. Guests will be able to customize frames, arms, and lenses available in a variety of colors and styles that celebrate Stan's legacy and body of worK. White Castle will supply sliders served up hot and fresh from the Crave Mobile.
