Ronnie Marmo agrees to produce the New York smash Halloween hit, "DRACULA" - Adapted from Bram Stoker's classic vampire novel, by Jayce Johnson, and after a highly successful 2014 run in New York City, and also signs the same NYC director, Sophia Watt to helm the LA Premiere of this adaption. Opening at Theatre 68 @ NoHo Arts Center on September 25th, 2015.
ABOUT DRACULA
A 19th Century Drama that struggles with madness, sexuality and power will explode onto the LA stage in this new bloody, sexy and horror-filled adaption of Bram Stoker's classic vampire Dracula novel. Renfield fights for her sexual freedom, Lucy struggles against her mother's expectations and her own growing hysteria, and Mina Murray is left standing alone in the wreckage of the19th century facing the man offering her both liberation and death.

JAYCE JOHNSON - Playwright (Adapted from Original Bram Stoker's Dracula)
Jayce Johnson received his B.F.A. from the Hartt School and is a co-founder of Royalty Free Theatre, for which he has worked as a writer, director, and actor, having directed "The Tempest" and "Twelfth Night," for which he also wrote music. Jayce's collaboration with Theatre 68 began with an adaptation of the urban legend "The Babysitter and the Man Upstair, leading to the New York production of "Dracula" and an upcoming adaptation of "Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."
SOPHIA WATT - Director
Sophia Watt is freelance Director and has been the Artistic Director of Royalty Free Theater since 2013. She directed an adaptation of Shakespeare's "The War of the Roses" (co-produced with Irondale Theater), a radio play of "Great Expectations" for the podcast Anthology and multipal new play workshops. As Artistic Director of Royalty Free Theater, she has produced a collection of classic plays and new works. This will be Sophia's second collaboration with Theatre 68 (68 Cent Crew Theatre Company). In the fall of 2014 she directed a sold out run of Dracula at the Arthur Seelen Theatre and she is looking forward to returning there this fall with a new adaptation of "The Strange Case of Dr. Jeykell and Mr. Hyde." Sophia holds a double degree from The Hartt School in Actor Training and English Liturature. Sophia was a Martin Scholar finalist and is a proud member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab.
RONNIE MARMO - Producer
Ronnie has directed over fifty stage productions in Los Angeles and New York. Past favorites include the World Premiere Musical Serial Killer Barbie, the critically acclaimed Bill W. and Dr. Bob, which enjoyed 350+ sold out performances in the past 12 years, the Los Angeles Premiere of Storefront Church and the World Premiere of Last Night In The Garden I Saw You both written by John Patrick Shanley and West of Brooklyn which Marmo inked. Ronnie was the Artistic Director and Producer of the critically acclaimed first ever 13 by Shanley Festival which enjoyed a six-month run. Marmo has directed the film A Loan Officer And A Gentlemen. He also directed the series Adults Only and LaLa Land. He received the Robert Pastorelli Rising Star Award for achievements as actor, writer, director and producer at the 2010 Garden State Film Festival. Ronnie completed a three-year run on ABC's General Hospital as Ronnie Dimestico. He continues to serve at the Artistic Director of Theatre 68 (68 Cent Crew Theatre Company) in Los Angeles and New York City. He is currently directing the smash hit, Adam & Eve And Steve - A Musical.
