Said Colony Director of Development Heather Provost, "We are thrilled to be able to offer this kind of programming over the coming months. The series is designed to provide something for arts lovers of all ages."
First up from July 20-23 is ICONversations, a musical journey with vocal artist Reign Morton as he sings the songs that have stood the test of time from musical artists like Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Prince, Whitney Houston, Donny Hathaway, and Michael Jackson. A musical love letter to his father via creative storytelling and incredible music, tribute concert ICONversations will have you singing, dancing, and thinking. Musical director is Grammy Award-winner Dave Yaden.
Next up is Magic Mania, which includes performances by 25 different masters of the "dark arts." These magicians will perform illusions that astonish and amaze, combining their artful sleight-of-hand, trickery, and deception with comic flourishes that will entertain people of all ages. The show will feature the best acts from The Magic Castle, America's Got Talent, Penn and Teller's Fool Us, Wizard Wars, and more. World renowned magician Albie Selznick will host each performance. Through an abundance of music and dance, the Broadway veteran explores how to continue surviving in his career and ponders how different his success in musical theatre might have been had he been a girl. Runs September 14-17.
Considered by many to be one of the greatest scores ever written, Stephen Sondheim's beloved A Little Night Music will be performed in a concert reading by the best and brightest actors and singers from the Broadway and Los Angeles musical theatre worlds. This not-to-be-missed event will run September 21-24, and the cast will be announced soon.
