Celebration Theatre has announced the second show of its celebratory 30th Anniversary Season, the rolling world premiere of a new play, WOLVES, written by Steve Yockey (Very Still and Hard to See, The Fisherman's Wife) and directed by Ovation award-winner and Celebration Theatre's Co-Artistic Director Michael Matthews (Justin Love, The Color Purple). WOLVES will begin previews on Friday, March 1 and will open on Friday, March 8 and will perform through Sunday, May 5 at Celebration Theatre, 7051B Santa Monica Blvd in Hollywood.
The rolling world premiere of Steve Yockey's latest play, WOLVES is a fascinating psychological drama with more than one twist! Ben is a timid young city-dweller who freaks out when his ex-boyfriend and reluctant roommate Jack brings home a big bad wolf for a one-night stand. Things get out of hand when Ben tries to "rescue" Jack and set into motion a dangerous, chain of events that will change their world forever. Throw in a peculiar narrator who clearly knows more than she's letting on, and this savagely funny fairy tale for grown-ups twists and turns toward a messy, breathtaking climax.
WOLVES will preview on Friday, March 1 at 8pm; Saturday, March 2 at 8pm; Sunday, March 3 at 2pm; Wednesday. March 6, Thursday, March 7 at 8pm; and will open on Friday, March 8 and run through Sunday, May 5 at Celebration Theatre, 7051B Santa Monica Blvd (1/2 block east of La Brea) in Hollywood.
Performances are Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Tickets are $30 for all performances. Previews are $20. For tickets, please call (323) 957-1884 or visit www.celebrationtheatre.com to purchase tickets online or to view a complete schedule or for further details.
