Celebration, under the artistic direction of Michael A. Shepperd, Cherry Poppins and org*smico present a very special guest production, the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival award-winning burlesque rock musical (Best Musical, Best World Premiere & Bechdal Wallace Award), DR. NYMPHO VS. THE SEX ZOMBIES, book, music & lyrics by Michael Shaw Fisher, choreography by Brin Hamblin, musical direction by Sandy Chao Wang and directed by Sarah Haworth-Hodges. DR. NYMPHO VS. THE SEX ZOMBIES will open on Friday, April 26 at 8pm and perform through Sunday, May 26 at Celebration Theatre @ the Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave. in Los Angeles.

Every family has issues. No issues run deeper than those of the brilliant pathologist and matriarch Dr. Nimfa Delacroix. She was a nymphomaniac in the past but now lives a "normal life" with her nuclear 21st century family. All of her demons must be confronted however, when the outbreak of a deadly STD launches in Atlanta, turning its residents into zombies that promises the end of civilization. MICHAEL SHAW FISHER (Book, Music & Lyrics) received Thesis Distinction while obtaining his MFA in Writing for Film and Television from USC's School of Cinematic Arts in 2008. Aside from writing a few independent feature films, including an award-winning adaptation of "Shakespeare's Timon of Athens," Michael has thrown himself into writing/composing theatre in Los Angeles. He is Artistic Director of org*smico Theatre company and his first musical Doomsday Cabaret was nominated for an Ovation Award in 2013. Other penned projects include Exorcistic: The Rock Musical Parody Experiment (winner Best Musical Hollywood Fringe Festival) his solo-show Shakespeare's Last Night Out (winner Top of Fringe, Best Solo show and winner for the Ovation award for Best Book for an Original Musical in 2017) and in 2018 Michael won the Ovation for Best Lyrics and Music for Skullduggery: the Musical Prequel To Hamlet which was produced at Sacred Fools - where he is a member. He adores creation of all kinds, his mother and his wife, Alli Miller - even though she thinks he's an idiot.

Sarah Haworth-HODGES (Director) is Los Angeles based director, performer and producer. She is the co-creator/director/founder of Cherry Poppins Productions with her business partner Allison Miller. She's directed many shows for Cherry Poppins including the Top of Fringe award winner and Ovation nominated Shakeslesque: To Thine Own Cherry Be True. She has also directed many other award winning and nominated shows including: The Craftlesque (Fringe 2018 Best Cabaret/Variety), The Knock Shop" org*smico Award), and A Whole Newd World: Cherry Tales at the Knock Shop (Fringe Nominated Best Musical). She also recently wrote and starred in the award-winning short film "The Volunteer" which has been a selection and winner in several film festivals.

Brin Hamblin (Choreography) got her degree in dance and choreography from Ball State University in Indiana along-side Cherry Poppins producers Alli Miller and Sarah Haworth. She is a Tap teacher at Rockstar Dance & Fitness, a member of The Satin Dollz, an avid Choreographer for various Cherry Poppins Show, one being the recently Ovation Nominated Shakeslesque - To Thine Own Cherry Be True. Her favorite LA dance experience was performing in Janet Rosten's showcase last year, and choreographing for LA Unbound and various dance shows around town.

SANDY CHAO WANG (Musical Director/Arranger) is a LA based keyboard player, music director, and arranger. She is currently the music director of Cherry Poppins Productions and a band member of Soul Rising, RNRX, Monte Revolta and His Band of The Living Dead, and Bulletproof Soul.Her credits include Tahj Mowry, Cameron Cartio, as well as many other Chinese artists including Aska Yang, Steven Ma, Luo Shifeng, Christy Chung, Kang Kang, Yu Ya, Johnny Yip, Anson Ping, and Wong He.

THE SEX ZOMBIES features Scenic Design by Ovation Award-winner Nicholas Acciani (33Variations), Lighting Design by Matthew Brian Denman (Failure: A Love Story at the Kirk Douglas), Costume and Props Design by Kelly Stevenson, Vocal Coach is Michael Teoli. Mara Aguilar is the Production Stage Manager. DR. NYMPHO VS. THE SEX ZOMBIES is produced by Alli Miller and Sarah Haworth-Hodges.

This production is presented with the support of the City of West Hollywood's Arts Division.

Performances are Friday & Saturday evenings at 8pm; Sundays at 7pm.
