CASA 0101 Theater will add two additional performances for the Closing Weekend of the hit play, CLEAN START, a new comedy written and directed by Kathy Fischer (The George Lopez Show) and written and produced by Josefina López (Real Women Have Curves). Emmanuel Deleage, Executive Director of CASA 0101, as well as Producer of the show, said today, "I am happy to announce that we will be adding two additional performances to the Closing Weekend of CLEAN START, due to show's critical acclaim and popularity with the general public. In addition to performances this Friday and Saturday, February 13th and 14th at 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday, February 15th at 5:00 p.m., we will have a matinee performance on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and an evening performance on Sunday at 8:00 p.m."

Theatre Critic Joe Straw wrote on http://www.joestraw9.blogspot.com/, "Rarely do you get a packed house....This is CASA 0101 at its best. There is so much fun in this presentation of CLEAN START, a raucous, snappy and fast-paced comedy. You had better run fast and reserve your tickets....CASA 0101 has pulled out their A-List actors for this one." Cam from GotAnchored.com wrote, "CLEAN START is family friendly fun full of high-energy performances by the entire cast. It's laughs for Gringos, Hispanics and all of LA's diverse and wonderful community." Shirley Craig of www.reapmediazine.com wrote: "This is CASA 0101 at it's best...(the show) is playing to full houses each performance. The play is highly commendable for fusing socio-political subject matter with broad uproarious humor verging on satire." Harrison Held of http://scenearoundtownspecialfeatures.blogspot.com wrote, "CASA 0101 kicks off their 15th Quinceañera season with the hysterically funny CLEAN START written by Kathy Fischer and Josefina López...The laff fest features a colorful talented cast and tells the story of a destitute Beverly Hills matron who moves in with her Latina maid and her family in East LA...Highly recommend!"

Things get messy when a broke, down-on-her-luck Beverly Hills socialite is forced to move in with her Latina housekeeper in East Los Angeles. CASA 0101 Theater is kicking off the theater's 15th "Quinceañera" Anniversary Season with the World Premiere of a new comedy, CLEAN START, written by Kathy Fischer and Josefina López.

The production is being presented on the theater's Main Stage located at 2102 East First Street (at St. Louis Street), Boyle Heights, CA 90033 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 5:00 p.m., through February 15, 2015. In addition, a matinee performance will be given on Saturday, February 14th at 3:00 p.m. and an additional evening performance will be presented on Sunday, February 15th at 8:00 p.m.

The cast includes Kim Chase (of Toluca Lake) as Beverly Hills socialite Parker Reed, Robert Jekabson (of Culver City) as all round hunky, handyman Vladimir, Ingrid Oliu (of Glassell Park) as Latina housekeeper Rosario Rodriguez, Marina Gonzalez Palmier (of Hollywood) as family matriarch Doña Maria Rodriguez and Maria Russell (of Studio City) as Rosario's voluptuous unemployed sister, Blanca Rodriguez.

CLEAN START is a comedic play centering around Parker Reed, a down-on-her-luck Beverly Hills socialite, and Rosario Rodriguez, her Latina maid who lives in a small, two bedroom house in East Los Angeles. When Reed loses everything due to a result of her husband's illegal dealings running a ponzi scheme, she is forced to move in with Rosario and her superstitious mother and immature sister. The resulting tensions question whether the women, from such divergent backgrounds, can resolve their differences and make a clean start with their lives.

Tickets are $20 per person for General Admission; $17 per person for Students and Seniors; and $15 per person for Boyle Heights residents. Discounts for Groups of 10 or more will be available at $15 per person. This show is recommended for all audiences. Advance reservations are highly recommended. CASA 0101, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded by Josefina López, author of "Real Women Have Curves," on April 1, 2000 to fulfill her vision of bringing art and live theater programs to Boyle Heights. From its humble beginnings in a former bridal shop, CASA 0101 has established itself as a leading arts venue for Los Angeles' East Side, currently offering year round theatrical productions and classes in dramatic writing and acting for youth and adults. CASA 0101 is dedicated to providing vital arts, cultural, and educations programs in theatre, digital filmmaking, art and dance - to Boyle Heights, thereby nurturing the future storytellers of Los Angeles. CASA 0101 is named such, as casa means house or home in Spanish. 0's and 1's are the binary language computers use to operate. CASA 0101 was founded at the dawn of the digital age, when digital cameras started appearing and moviemaking became accessible to more people. Early on Josefina López taught a few digital video classes. Though the organization subsequently focused its energies on theatre and not digital filmmaking, the name stuck. 0 and 1 can also mean nothing and everything, yin and yang, male and female, and many more dual opposites. Through storytelling and theatre and other art forms, CASA 0101 is committed to exploring the world and oneself, the good and the bad, the light and the darkness of our world to the point where there are no borders and "0" and "1" are one.
