Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts very proudly presents the 1st new production and regional premiere of the award record-breaking Billy Elliot The Musical opening January 13 through January 29, 2017,

Time called it a "triumph"; critic Liz Smith termed it "breathtakingly brilliant" and "absolutely, unequivocally awesome"; the NY Daily News said it was "so exhilarating that at times you feel like leaping"; the New York Post said it was "almost like being in love" and termed it "amusing, perfect and passionate" and "the best show you will ever see"; and the Los Angeles Times called it a "global theatrical phenomenon."

In New York, Billy Elliot The Musical won ten Tony Awards and ten Drama Desk Awards, including in each case, Best Musical. The production received fifteen Tony Award nominations, tying with The Producers for most nominations ever received by a Broadway show before Hamilton, and winning ten.

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts kicked off its inaugural "BROADWAY SERIES AT RIVERTOWN" SCHEDULE FOR THE 2012-2013 SEASON with a new name, a new management company, Theatre 13, and new artistic directors, Gary Rucker and Kelly Fouchi. The mission of Theatre 13 is to bring new and exciting productions to the New Orleans area while providing

local theater artists an opportunity to perform and create, as well as teach and showcase the talents of children of all ages.

Now in its multiple award-winning fifth season, Theatre 13 is producing a wide range of professional theatrical performances, from Broadway musicals to children's theater for Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts.
