The legendary Broadway star, actress/singer Betty Buckley will offer a special four day Song Interpretation & Monologue Workshop in Los Angeles beginning August 30. The Tony Winner will assist aspiring artists, educators and experienced performers in the craft of singing, acting and storytelling.

Ms. Buckley shares her expertise and guides her students through a methodology that facilitates audience connection through songs and monologues. Her emotional connection to songs and audiences is renowned, and that very connection is at the heart of what Ms. Buckley imparts to her students.

After her most recent successful run at Feinstein's!, The New York Times' Stephen Holden raved, "Betty Buckley [is] at the very top of her game." John Simon of Bloomberg Press wrote, "Equally accomplished as actress and singer, she pours a lifetime into every song."

The class welcomes auditors, at a reduced rate, who participate in all aspects of the class - including powerful group exercises and work with partners - except the individual singing and monologue coaching by Ms. Buckley.

The workshop will consist of four sessions beginning Tuesday, August 30 - Friday, September 2. Each session will be from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. A pianist will be provided.

Most recently co-starred in Dallas Theatre Center's smash hit "Arsenic and Old Lace, the Tony award winner has thrilled audiences with acclaimed performances in such Broadway shows as Sunset Boulevard, Cats, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and 1776. Her highly praised starring role in the M. Last year she appeared in the Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg mini-series The Pacific on HBO and her most recent film Five Time Champion will open in theatres soon. Last summer Ms. Buckley starred Off-Broadway in White's Lies. In 2009, Ms. Buckley was honored with the Texas Medal of Arts Award for Theater and was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame in 2007. She also has an extensive concert career and recently received rave reviews for her new show For the Love of Broadway! at the prestigious Feinstein's nightclub in NYC. John Simon of Bloomberg Press raved "Equally accomplished as actress and singer, she pours a lifetime into every song."

Ms. Buckley has been a teacher for 40 years for people who want to perfect their ability to effectively communicate in their work and relationships. The class also welcomes auditors who participate in all aspects of the class, except the individual coaching by Ms. Buckley.
