Barbara Morrison Returns To Catalina Bar & Grill, 9/1

Barbara Morrison, the critically acclaimed and popular Jazz & Blues singer, will return to Catalina Bar & Grill, 6725 West Sunset Boulevard (just east of North Highland Avenue), Los Angeles, CA  90028 for two shows during the Labor Day Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, September 1 and 2, 2012.
 
On Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 8:30 p.m. for a Cover Charge of $25 per person, she will reprise her Sold Out show, Barbara Morrison in “A Tribute To Dinah Washington – Queen of the Blues” accompanied by the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center All Star Big Band conducted by John Stephens.  Members of the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center All Star Big will include:  Ron Barrows, Cindy Lee Bradley, Tom Bridges, Bram Glik, George Harper, Ron Hershewe, Jeff Kaye, Mel Lee, Paul Nowell, Tom Ralls, Carl Randell, Tom Scott, Curt Sletten, Alvin Starks and Alvin Steinberg.  Morrison’s song list will include signature songs popularized by Dinah Washington including:  “What a Diff’rence a Day Makes,” “This Bitter Earth,” “Come Rain or Come Shine,” “You Go To My Head,” “If It’s The Last Thing I Do,” “You Been A Good Old Wagon but You Done Broke Down,” “I Wanna Be Loved” and many more.
 
On Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. for a Cover Charge of $20 per person, she will be seen in “An Intimate Evening with Barbara Morrison and Her Trio,” including Stuart Elster on Piano, Richard Simon on Bass and Lee Spath on Drums performing songs that made Dinah Washington “The Queen of the Blues.”
