The all-new production of Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's Pippin had it's L.A. Premiere direct from Broadway at the Hollywood Pantages Theater October 22 and Broadway World TV's own red carpet Los Angeles Co-Producer and on-air Host Michael Sterling and Co-Producer Jordan Santacana were there to get up close and personal with the stars. Among those attending the opening were Martin Short, Nia Vardalos, Sean Hayes, Catherine O'Hara, Dan Bucatinsky, Jai Rodriguez, Christopher McDonald, Oscar Nunez, Bo Derek, Cloris Leachman, Patrick Cassidy, Obba Babatunde, Maisela Lusha, Kevin Chamberlin, Anne Jeffries, JoAnne Worley and Scott Hoying (Pentatonix), Frankie J. Grande (from the Big Brother series and who'll be co-starring in Rock of Ages starting November 15 on Broadway)... to name but a few. Check out the video!
Pippin is directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and features choreography by Tony Award nominee Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation by Gypsy Snider of the Montreal-based circus company Les 7 doigts de la main (also known as 7 Fingers).
PIPPIN is the most nominated Broadway show of the 2013 Season, having received 10 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical Revival with 6 Drama Desk Award nominations, 11 Outer Critics Circle Award nominations and 3 Drama League Award nominations. PIPPIN features a book by Roger O. Hirson and music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Royal heir Pippin is spurred on by a mysterious group of performers to embark on a death-defying journey to find his "corner of the sky." The original production of Pippin, directed by Bob Fosse, premiered on Broadway in 1972. It won five Tony Awards and five Drama Desk Awards, and ran for close to 2000 performances before closing in 1977. This production of PIPPIN made its debut at American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) in Cambridge, MA, where Diane Paulus serves as Artistic Director; December 5, 2012 to January 20, 2013. PIPPIN is noted for many Broadway standards including "Corner of the Sky," "Magic To Do," "Glory," "No Time at All," "Morning Glow," and "Love Song."

The performance schedule for Pippin is Tuesday through Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 2pm & 8pm, and Sunday at 1pm & 6:30pm. Recommended for Ages 9 and Up. (Everyone must have a ticket; children under 5 will not be admitted to the theatre) Running Time: 2 hours and 35 minutes including intermission. Tickets start at $25 in the orchestra.
